Greetings families,
I want to formally introduce myself to the RSA community. I am not new to the district and have been working and supporting the D4 community for 5 years as an assistant principal. It is with great honor and privilege to now be here at RSA as the principal. I look forward to continuing the great things Dr. Bradley left behind, picking up where he left off with a consistent push for both art and academic excellence. Feel free to reach out with your feedback, needs and wants. Our goal is to support you and our scholars in whatever capacity necessary to achieve success.

Hi Family,
I am proud to welcome your family to Renaissance School of the Arts, MS 377.
My intention is to support every family as they reach positive academic and social emotional goals throughout the year. I believe through taking ownership for our actions, demonstrating good character and displaying passion, we will achieve great things.
Accountability Integrity Respect
To make 2023 – 2024 a memorable academic year I encourage parents and guardians to become as involved as they can. Students thrive most when there is unification between school and home.
Below is a list of the many ways we invite you to be active in our artist, your child’s lives at school.
· PTA- The Parent- Teacher Association
· SLT- The School Leadership Team
· Workshop Wednesdays
· Office Hours with Ms. Nater
· District 4 Family Workshops
· School’s Wellness Council with Ms. Ana
· Book Club
I look forward to bridging the gap between school and home life with your family this school year.

Partnership with Children
At RSA, we seek out and work with students through a customized plan for each child. Our social workers help students learn how to regulate their emotions, behave deliberately, advocate for themselves and others, and work towards personal and academic goals. Led by our Social Work Director, Mr. Chris (Hudson), our Social Work team provides case management services as necessary so that students and families have the resources they need.
Roads to Success
RTS’s mission is to inspire and empower all young people to take control of their future. In middle school RTS uses The Explore model to serve as a pathway to success for youth in 6th, 7th , and 8th grades. Structured like clubs, the model offers young people a choice in how they spend their time; provides rigorous instruction in STEM, sports, and arts; and requires youth leadership through service. The Explore model also offers after school and college and career exploration programs as well as access to holiday recess camp. In addition, their aim is to continue to strengthen SEL assets, community orientation, and positive academic behavior, as well as develop strong future orientation by cultivating a college-going culture and introduction to careers.
